When his owner moved to a home where no pets were allowed, Duke found himself at Connecticut Humane Society wondering where he would live out his senior years. Before the staff could work on finding a new family for Duke, they first had to get him back in good health.

A $14,600 Banfield Foundation Veterinary Medical Equipment Grant enabled Connecticut Humane Society to purchase a new dental unit, dental x-ray machine and digital imaging system. This equipment was used when they gave Duke a comprehensive dental exam and cleaning, and removed a mass from his head.

Duke spent two months recovering and hoping a new family would come and find him. And the wait was worth it. He now lives in a happy home where he is treated like royalty!
