Estefania Avendano, DVM

Dr. Avendaño was born in Palmira, Colombia and raised in Pembroke Pines, Florida. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in pre-professional Biology from the University of Florida. She then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. Georges University College of Veterinary Medicine and attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine for her clinical year. Dr. Avendaño practiced in a private hospital specializing in small animal medicine and exotics in Henderson, Nevada for 3 years prior to starting her career at Banfield. Dr. Avendaño’s professional interests include preventive medicine, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, dentistry, internal medicine, exotic/pocket pet medicine, acupuncture, and alternative medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Avendaño loves spending time with her family, friends, and fur babies. She enjoys traveling, hiking, watching movies, and dancing. Most of all, she loves the beach.
