We offer free interpretation services for over 350 languages, including ASL. Let us know before your appointment and you will be connected by phone or video call to a professional translator who can help you clearly understand your pet’s diagnosis and treatment needs.

In-house veterinary pharmacy

Our in-house pharmacy means owners can get their pet prescriptions at their visit. Antibiotics, pain relief, parasite prevention, and other medications recommended during the exam are available immediately, meaning your pet gets the treatment they need without waiting.

Medical grooming

Under veterinary supervision, medical grooming helps pets with severe matting, skin conditions, or anxiety. When necessary, sedation or anesthesia may be necessary to safely remove mats, trim fur, and maintain hygiene.

Microchipping

Microchipping provides permanent identification and increase the chances of being reunited with your pet if they are lost. A tiny microchip is safely inserted under the skin and contains a unique ID number that veterinarians and animal shelters can scan to identify lost pets and contact their owners.

Our team

Dr. Jen graduated from University of Georgia with a degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She moved from Atlanta, GA to be with her family consisting of husband and 19-month baby girl. She has a passion for canine and feline health being a mother to a 2-year-old English Setter and a 7-year-old Spaniel mix. She enjoys outdoor activities and playing with her babies during her days off. She hopes to open a rescue center for pets in future.

Dr. Elizabeth Valdez is a compassionate veterinarian who has been a valued member of the Banfield Pet Hospital team since 2009. Dr. Weirong Zou joined the Banfield team in 2024. He attended University of California, Davis and graduated in 2024 with a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Zou enjoys working for Banfield as a Veterinarian and has interests in dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and feline medicine. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, spending time with his cat, and traveling/doing food tours. About Dr. Weirong Zou

Carlos was born and raised in San Jose, California. He graduated from Carrington College as a registered veterinary technician. At the time he was working in retail and really took some time to find the courage to try something new and explore new things. Eventually he found a new passion and thoroughly loves what he does every day. When not working, Carlos enjoys long walks and hikes in new places with his two dogs, Beans and Raven, attending music festivals, and traveling whenever he can.

Cassandra joined Banfield in April 2018 as a Customer Service Coordinator, she began training as a veterinary assistant and working as a shift lead. She enjoys being a veterinary assistant and working with animals. She has started taking courses to become as a registered veterinary technician. When she isn't taking care of our pets, she likes to spend her time with her daughter and her 3 pets, watching new shows on Netflix, drawing, or trying out new recipes.

Kasandra joined Banfield since July 2019, she graduated from UCSC with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She aspires to become a registered veterinary technician and possibly become a Veterinarian in the future. She owns 2 dogs and 2 cats. Her hobbies are reading, hiking, walking her dogs, playing sports, and hanging out with her friends and family. She is very excited to be part of Banfield and build a care with animals.

Jheffrey has lived in San Jose all his life. His passion for animals started when he worked at PetSmart in Campbell back in 2014. He has now been working at Banfield for about 3 years and loves what he does to help keep pets healthy. Jheffrey loves being outdoors and spending time with his family on his free time.

Michele moved to the Bay Area in 217. This gave her the opportunity to work at a private clinic and eventually move to Banfield. She loves to see all of the animals come in and get the care they need, especially when it really makes a difference in a pet's personality. She hopes to one day be cross-trained to work as a Veterinary Assistant and be able to have a hands-on impact in a pet's care.
