    Dr. Robert Lerner graduated from Michigan State University with a doctoral of veterinary medicine and a bachelor of science in 1974. He has been a practicing veterinarian in small animal medicine and surgery for the past 36 years. He has served as a past president of the Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association and was a member on the board of directors for the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association.     Dr. Emery Engers is a Michigan native, growing up on a small Arabian horse farm outside of Ann Arbor. She earned her BA in Chemistry from Kalamazoo College in 2003, while playing varsity softball for four years. She then attended veterinary school at Michigan State University, receiving her DVM degree in 2007. She worked for 1-1/2 years at a large, 7-doctor small animal hospital in Rochester Hills before joining Banfield in 2008. Her special interests include dentistry and soft tissue surgery, and she has received advanced training in these disciplines. As Chief of Staff, she also regularly mentors new Banfield doctors and veterinary students. Dr. Engers currently resides in Troy with her two miniature dachshunds and spends much of her free time renovating her new home. More Details>>
