    On the west coast of Florida, centrally located is the city of Sarasota where you can always rely on Banfield's warm staff to provide extraordinary care for your furry friends. Our professional team offers a wide variety of health care services such as skin care, parasite control, dentistry, spays and neuters, microchipping, nutritional counseling, vaccinations and so much more. 

    You can find your local Banfield in the Landings Shopping Center on South Tamiami Trail and Proctor Road. Come in for your pet's health care needs when the time is convenient for you - we offer early drop-off appointments and are open Monday through Saturday until 7:00pm. We are even open on Sundays from 9-5.

    Dr. Maria Phillips

    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Maria Phillips graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 2007. After veterinary school, she completed a surgical internship at NorthWest Surgeons, a specialist surgical facility in England. Dr. Phillips then worked for a large 15 vet hospital where she performed both race horse work, and the small animal specialist surgery, particularly orthopedics. She gained her surgical certificate in 2009, and decided to focus on small animal practice and surgery. Dr. Phillips also spent some time working alongside the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals), for whom she acted as an expert witness in cruelty cases. She has acted as the lead veterinary surgeon for a number of Veterinary hospitals in England, ensuring their medical quality. Dr. Phillips moved to Sarasota in 2012 with her husband and baby girl, Emily. She enjoys Scuba diving and spending time at the beach with her family in her free time! More Details >>

    Dr. Diane Fletcher

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Diane Fletcher earned a bachelor's degree in animal science with a specialization in animal biology and a master's of agribusiness degree from the University of Florida before attending and graduating from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. After veterinary school, Dr. Fletcher worked at a private practice before moving to Sarasota with her pets Kaya (a chow chow - sharpei mix), Savannah (an American Staffordshire Terrier - Boxer mix) and her four cats, Salem, Simon, Brody, and Nala.     Dr. Aldo Wilson

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Aldo S. Wilson DVM, graduated from San Marcos University Veterinary Medicine School in Peru in 2004. Dr. Wilson worked for The America Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) as a Rescue Veterinarian Consultant before joining Banfield in 2013. Dr. Wilson and his wife Anna are expecting their first child, and have 4 dogs: Wayward, Trixie, Pepito and Jordi; Miski the cat and Flipper Honey the parrot. Dr. Wilson's interests include soft tissue, oral and orthopedics surgeries, and during his free time, enjoys soccer, volleyball, cycling and DIY projects. More Details >>

    Dr. Lyda Maria Torres Leal

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Lyda Maria Torres Leal earned a veterinary degree from the National University of Columbia. After veterinary school she moved to Sarasota with her husband Nick, and their pets Pimenta, a 5-year-old female Yorkshire Terrier, and two cats Mocha and Snowshoe.
