Veterinarian - 5 years practicing
As a young girl in Puerto Rico, I remember having an instant attachment to animals. As I see it, what better way to spend the day than by playing with pets, and at the same time, making a difference in their lives by providing wellness education to their owners. My husband, Andy and I met at Purdue University while I was attending Veterinarian school. We have two wonderful children. One boy and one girl. I also have a spry senior Labrador named Jesus, a sweet kitty named Muffin and a yellow furball named K-3. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the movies and catching a few zzz’s when I have a few extra minutes. I obtained my undergraduate and DVM degree from Purdue University and joined the Banfield team in 2009. Please feel free to stop in. I would enjoy meeting you and your pet family!!

At a very young age, I enjoyed learning about animals and knew that I wanted to be a veterinarian. Today I live the dream of my childhood imagination. I attended Indiana University for my undergraduate degree, IUPUI for my masters and went to Veterinary school at Purdue University. I joined the Banfield Plainfield team in 2010. After graduating IU, I married my husband Steve. We have a beautiful daughter named Charlie who is anxiously awaiting the arrival of her new little sister. The rest of the family includes a four-year-old English Mastiff named Olivia, my 10-year-old kitties, Reese and Bentley and a stray cat which fell in love with my 185-pound Olivia. Family and friend time comes first, followed by reading, hiking, scuba diving and travel. I am also a freelance photographer. I hope to meet you and your critter someday.
People will often ask: “So, why did you become a vet?” There really is no one certain answer, but I do enjoy medicine, performing surgical procedures, and I also love animals. Pets give us their entire life and a purpose of being. We owe it to them to provide the very best wellness and medical care possible from the very beginning to the very end of their life. My husband, Patrick and I met while I was completing my undergraduate studies at the University of Dayton. I later attended Ohio State for Veterinarian school. Some of my hobbies include following Ohio State football, cooking, exercising, and travelling!! In fact, I would love to visit every continent one day and experience all cultures. There is just something special about the way a pet communicates with us in a unique way. Stop by and let me say hello!

Aloha and hello. From Hawaii to Indy, my love for animals has never changed. I grew up in Hawaii and spread my wings to fly to the Midwest for Veterinary school at Purdue University. I graduated in May of 2013. As far back as I can remember, I have loved animals and the special bond between pets and their owners, which, along with my parents, inspired me to become a veterinarian. I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have a rescue dog named Gideon. He is a four-year-old Beagle and we love him! When I am not working with animals, I enjoy hiking and spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy travelling and hope to one day go on mission trips all around the world. Feel free to come in and let me say aloha and hello to your pet family!
