Dr. Kent Arnold
Dr. Arnold joined Banfield Pet Hospital in 2001, when he became the owner of the Banfield hospital in Springfield, MO. After thirteen years of successfully developing the Springfield hospital, he decided to return to Joplin. Dr. Arnold enjoys general practice, but he is especially interested in surgery and dentistry. After many years of practice, Dr. Arnold believes that preventing dental problems is much superior to treating them. He also strongly believes in the health benefits of Banfield’s Optimum Wellness Plans. While in college at Missouri Southern State University and the University of Missouri-Columbia, Dr. Arnold studied Education and Computer Science, in addition to Biology and, of course, Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Arnold lives at home with his wife and three pets. Dr. Arnold is an instrument-rated commercial pilot and a certified firearms instructor and enjoys running, trail biking, reading, video editing and helping his students become responsible firearms owners.
Dr. Jack Bozarth
Dr. Bozarth grew up on the family farm in Southwest Kansas. He began his interest in the veterinary field while watching the local veterinarian treat the family's livestock. He obtained his veterinary degree from Kansas State University, served in the U.S. Air Force and then returned to K-State for his Master's Degree in 1973. He practiced in Oregon, Texas, and Kansas before joining Banfield in 2000. He and his wife have had nearly a dozen cats as well as two dogs over the years. His special interests include dermatology and internal medicine. In his free time, Dr. Bozarth enjoys fishing, baseball, K-State sports, reading as well as visiting historical sites and antiquing with his wife.
