    Nikki Hamilton-Cox, DVM

Dr. Hamilton-Cox graduated from the University of Florida in 2000. She has been working for Banfield since June 2000. She worked in GA for 11 years before moving to Alabama. Dr. Hamilton-Cox's preventive care focus is everything she does to ensure her pets are healthy from the 1st visit at 6 weeks old throughout their entire lifetime. To Dr. Hamilton, preventive care means talking about the importance of vaccines, why we recommend spaying and neutering, what shampoo she recommends, the importance of heartworm and flea prevention, ear cleaning, trimming nails, grooming, diets, brushing teeth, etc. Everything is equally important to her but living in the south she can never stress enough the importance of heartworm testing and prevention.
