    Brittany King, DVM

    Veterinarian

Dr. Brittany King graduated from St. George's University in 2010 and joined Banfield Pet Hospital shortly after. She has been practicing for over four years now and at the West Loop location for two years. She is the owner of a rescued Scottish Terrier dog named Hank, the love of her life. Every summer she hosts FutureVet programs at the Children's Museum. She loves and performs advanced surgeries, internal medicine and ultrasonography. Professionally, she really enjoys getting to know the family of the pet and welcoming them into a pet family community. Over the past four years, she has raised money for the Banfield Charitable Trust BCT (a program designed to give back to owners and pets in need) via swimming across the English Channel, hosting Rock&Roll marathon races, and running 7 marathons for the BCT in 2015. She has a passion for combining athletics, travel, and adventure to give back to the community and pets in need. Currently she is nearing the end stages of her private pilot's license. Dr. Colleen Neilsen

    Veterinarian

Dr. Neilsen am originally from Wisconsin and received her undergraduate and veterinary training at University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduating from veterinary school in May 2013, she was accepted to a year-long Small Animal Rotating Internship at Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine. This is essentially an advanced (paid) training program in the more specialized areas of veterinary medicine. It was a wonderful experience and it was also her introduction to the state of Texas. After completing the internship, she decided she liked Texas enough to stick around and she accepted a position as a veterinarian with Banfield Pet Hospital in August of 2014. She loves the variety of cases that she sees as a general practitioner, but she also has interests in neurology and oncology. At home she has a loveable cat named Darby O'Gill and two Dalmatians named Mickey and Pepper. More Details>>
