Dr. Hector Quinones-August
Dr. Quinones started working for Banfield in July 2011. He is originally from Puerto Rico where he lived for 22 years. He attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the beautiful island of St. Kitts, Caribbeans and graduated in 2010. Dr. Quinones then completed his medical training at Louisiana State University SVM and began working in an emergency clinic in Louisiana. He decided to later take another journey and moved to Virginia where he joined the Gainesville Banfield team. When he is not working, Dr. Quinones enjoys traveling, playing volleyball and mountain biking. He shares his household with his girlfriend, Dr. Amy Norvall, who is an equine veterinarian, as well as his newest addition, a one-year-old male pit bull mix named DonQ that he adopted from the shelter.
Dr. Eric Wambsganz
Dr. Wambsganz has been with Banfield Pet Hospital since 2011. In 2010, he graduated from Ross University in the tropical Carribean Island of St. Kitts. He graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree alongside many other northern Virginia Banfield doctors. Dr. Wambsganz originally started with Banfield at the Chesapeake, VA location. He later moved to northern Virginia in 2012 to begin working in Gainesville. Dr. Wambsganz’s favorite breeds include Labrador Retrievers and German Shepherds. He also enjoys many other breeds as well as cats. In his spare time, he likes to watch movies and visit his family in Maryland.
Dr. Mesfin Tsadiku
Dr. Mesfin joined Banfield in 2012 after graduating from Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology in Russia with his DVM and Ph.D. Dr. Mesfin also attended Louisiana State University for an Evaluated Clinical Experience. After graduating, he began practicing veterinary medicine at Banfield of Gainesville, VA. Although he does not have any pets currently, Dr. Mesfin enjoys working with many dog breeds. Some of his favorites are Pit Bulls and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. When Dr. Mesfin is not working, his favorite activity and passion is running. He completed the Houston Aramco Half Marathon in 2011 with a time of 1:52:43, and in 2012, was the age group winner at the Great Rover Road Run in Baton Rouge, LA. Dr. Mesfin is even currently training for the Washington D.C. half marathon in 2015.
Denise started working for Banfield in October 2009 after working for PetSmart since October of 2005. She has been working in the same PetSmart store in Gainesville since then and loving every minute of it. After working many different jobs at both PetSmart and Banfield, she became Practice Manager of the Gainesville location in August of 2013. Earning her Bachelor of Science in psychology from George Mason University in May 2013, she was the first in her family to graduate from college. Although the only pets she has of her own are two betta fish named Sparkle and Spice, Denise and her boyfriend plan on getting a puppy of their own very soon. Outside of work, she enjoys listening to music, dancing, being outdoors and relaxing with her family and friends.
