Announcing Banfield’s new shelter program!

Shelter Animal Veterinary Discount (SAVD)

At Banfield, we are passionate about making a better world for pets. With 1,000+ hospitals and 19,000+ Associates across the U.S., this passion connects and inspires us every day to make sure all pets receive quality veterinary care—whether they are already members of a family or waiting at shelters for their new forever home.

That is why we are proud of our newest shelter support program, Banfield’s Shelter Animal Veterinary Discount (SAVD) program. Through SAVD, registered shelters can receive free office visits and 25% off applicable products and services.

Registering is easy

  1. You can register at any Banfield Pet Hospital by showing your 501(c)(3) letter or similar article of incorporation.
  2. We recommend you call beforehand to inform the Banfield team you will be coming.
  3. Please note that SAVD is only available to registered shelters and rescues, not breeders.

What else should you know?

  • The new 25% SAVD discount is only available for the shelter, not for pet adopters.
  • There is no online registration for SAVD.
  • New PARP orders are no longer being fulfilled.
  • Current PARP vouchers and coupons that partners have already received or issued to adopters will be honored until their expiration date.
  • Unfortunately, breeders are not eligible for SAVD.
  • If you adopted a pet from a SAVD shelter or rescue, select the Free First Exam Coupon to receive a special offer from your nearest Banfield location.

SAVD replaced Banfield’s Pet Adoption Rewards Program (PARP) in 2021. Like PARP, SAVD provides a cost-effective way to deliver needed veterinary care to pets in shelters. SAVD was created based on input from shelters and introduces new benefits and processes to better meet their needs. Please note that new PARP orders are no longer being fulfilled, but current PARP vouchers and coupons that have been issued to adopters will be honored until their expiration date.
