Ashley Nichols, DVM

Dr. Ashley I Nichols DVM, is the lead veterinarian and returned to Maryland after moving away when they were a teenager. Dr. Nichols has been involved with veterinary medicine since 2008, receiving their Bachelors in Veterinary Technology in 2011 from Becker College in Massachusetts. They graduated from Ross University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015, after spending their clinical year at Oklahoma State University. After graduation they worked in the West Virginia until joining Banfield in June of 2016. Since joining Banfield, they have worked at multiple locations until joining the Arundel Mills location in April of 2020. Their current clinical interests include exotic medicine and surgery, feline internal medicine, general soft tissue surgery, and mentoring veterinarians and technicians. Dr. Nichols has been very active with the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association (MDVMA). They are currently President until the end of June, 2024. Through their volunteer work with the MDVMA, Dr. Nichols has been helping plan continuing education for Maryland veterinarians and technicians. They have even testified on the behalf of Maryland veterinarians, animal welfare and public health in front of Annapolis legislators. Dr. Nichols loves to spend time with their 3 dogs (Stormaggedon 12yo Caribbean mutt, Josie 5yo rescue beagle, Pippa 4yo rescue beagle) and 2 rescue cats (Edgar and Lenore 7yo).
