Recommend having your pet spayed due to the fact that it can reduce the risk of certain cancers, as well as help to keep the homeless Pet population down by eliminating any chance of her becoming pregnant.  Whether or not it affects her behavior is hard to say for certain and is partially dependant on her age. Take your pet in for a veterinary exam and discuss your questions with the veterinarian prior to surgery.
