He earned his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 1991, graduating Suma Cum Laude. Dr. Goff practiced small animal medicine and surgery in Texas for 15 years. He owned and operated Hulen South Animal Hospital. Inc and Animal Hospital of Southwest Fort Worth Inc during this time. After selling his business interests he joined Banfield as a Partner Doctor and Chief of Staff. He has served in this capacity for the last three years at locations in Dallas, TX and Vancouver, WA. Dr. Goff's wife, Tracey, is in industrial electromechanical sales and the couple has three children. Dr. Goff enjoys time with the family, Northwest microbrews, and motorcycling. He has six cats, three hamsters and a horse named Traveler.

She continued on to complete a Masters of Science in Biology with special focus in small mammal ecology at Sul Ross State University graduating in 2007.
